I kicked off 2017 by quitting my corporate job of five years and starting to travel around the world. My main goal is documenting my experiences, and also to help inspire anyone considering or embarking on a similar journey.
For those who don’t know me, I hold a bachelor’s degree in material engineering from the German University in Cairo. Moved back to the United States after graduating, late 2011. Surrounded by social pressure, which dictates a job in a well established corporation, I moved to Longview, Texas to work for a major steel company in 2012. After 3 years in Texas, I moved within the company for a promotion in North East Indiana, residing in Chicago. Although the job paid well and life in Chicago was outstanding, I decided to leave. Corporate America was not for me, and the fact that I have very little time to spare with my family and spend on experiences did not make much sense. Resigned on December 31st, 2016 and traveled to Cuba to kick off my tour around the globe.
I am currently doing some work remotely, mainly in cryptocurrencies and network marketing, for sustainability purposes. If you’re interested to know how I’m sustaining myself while being on the road, contact me.
I use a Nikon D5300 and an iPhone 7 for photography displayed on this website.
